This is my progress report for the documentary project throughout every week.
Week 2
In this week, we made our team for our documentary project and added a brief to our blog post.
Week 3
In this week, we learned about Livingstone and Lunt's theory about the media regulation. We also did the research and the statement of intent for our documentary project. We decided to do a crime documentary that involves a bit of cult and mystery.
Week 4
This week, we did a location scout, storyboard and risk assessment for our documentary. We haven't finished all of it, so we have to do it during our weekends. We also learned about the topic called "Power and the media", which is not going to be useful for our documentary, but it should be useful for our media studies exam.
Week 5
This week, we finished the script, risk assessment, filming schedule and storyboard of our documentary project. We planned to record the documentary this week if everyone could make it. We also dive deeper into real-life case studies and how the media represent people in their media platforms.
Week 6
This week, we prepared for our critical reflection and started filming for our documentary. We have not finished our filming, so we had to reschedule it; however, we finished our storyboard and script to get an overlook of what our documentary will look like.
Week 7
This week, we worked out without interview scenes and reviewed the footage that Gusde have taken without us. We also plan to finish all the filming on Friday.
Week 8
We have to turn in the finished documentary this week, along with the blog, the final video, and the CD. Fortunately, Mr. Nick extended the deadline from 11:59 to 8am the following day, which greatly aided me in finishing the assignment. Additionally, we shoot at the last minute for the drone operator's interview. This week has been exhausting overall, and I've been sleeping late.
